How to prepare yourself well for interviews

  Preparation for your interviews is an important process that many job seekers over look.

It’s a self respect discipline requirement that takes a lot time

  Not too often, actually the most difficult part is likely to be getting the job for an interview granted. So this part of the interview of how to bring yourself up and right most will be very important.

Always do your homework

  Always remember that if you have an interview date and set, you will by now know the company name. Do your homework by finding out about the company that you send the resume to. Always find out as much as possible the job and position you are applying for.

  How to find information and do homework? Hello, information is what we are talking about. Now in century of 2000. Information is everywhere like business directory and biz file or websites. Company profiles can also be found in the company annual report. There is a saying: know your enemy well for the battle. If you don’t prepare yourself well then you a ready lost half the battle even going to the battlefield.

Dressing smart and Attire

  Always plan ahead what you are going to wear for the interview. Make sure your clothes are clean, fresh and well ironed. Always take a reference to people who work as professionals, Look at the way they dress and the way they carry themselves.

Wearing a suit is not necessary unless you are going for an upper management appointment. Just a normal simple tie and well ironed long sleeve shirt with dark pants will bring you well enough. As for women, dress well with the dress code of closed to man’s style will do too. There is a part where a lot did not take note of. Your hair style. Make sure is properly combed or brushed, with a nice perfume not those you go for party man. Just a light fragrance and some light make up for women will bring your look out standing.

Preparing your documents

Make sure you place all your most important documents etc for the interview in a good quality folder. So as not to mess up your documents. Remember not to just go for an interview with your documents roll up and certificates all crumpled. Always carry your documents in a nice way. Carrying a file will not kill you. A much better way will be a brief case. But it’s a live without thing. If you have, used it. If not, just a big nice envelope will do either.

Prepare yourself mentally

 Spend some time doing your own review of your achievements and what you have learn or been praise so far.  You will not lost the battle unless you are not well prepared. Since they a ready ask you for the interview. Means that you have a ready won half the battle. The other half will depends on how you are going to win it.

Never be late for interviews

  The most important part of this lesson here. Never be late for interviews. Even a minute late is still late. If you do not know the address well enough. Leave your home earlier. Or rather like me I will always find my way there one day earlier so I will be able to locate my timing. Always allow timing for traffics conditions for traveling. Minimum reach your place of interview about 20mins earlier. Remember to bring a long a sweet in your bag. This is my personal preference.
